Hailey was born in Kodiak, Alaska, and raised in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She earned her bachelor’s degree in human services with a minor in Psychology from Elon University.
Her background in human services taught her the importance of compassion, connection, and supporting both people and their families values she now brings to her work in veterinary medicine.
After college, Hailey lived in New York City and Chicago, where she began her career as a professional dog trainer. After six years of helping dogs and their families build stronger relationships through training and communication, she transitioned into veterinary medicine to have a more direct impact on animal welfare.
Hailey is passionate about advocating for animals and providing compassionate care that supports both pets and the people who love them. She brings a unique perspective to veterinary medicine through her experience in animal behavior, training, and human services.
Outside of work, Hailey is a proud dog mom to two mini Bernedoodles, Jojo and Presley. She enjoys spending time with her husband and family, relaxing at the beach, and, of course, being surrounded by animals! We are so excited to have Hailey as part of the Mercy Animal Hospital family and look forward to all she will bring to our team and the pets we care for!
